GOBS ARTIST GATHERING 2026

The GOBS Artist Gathering took place on Saturday 30 May 2026 at New Art Exchange, Nottingham, as part of Green Hustle Festival, in collaboration with Apples and Snakes.

The gathering brought together poets, writers and performers for a day of creative exploration, skill-sharing, wellbeing and community connection. A multidisciplinary programme of artist-led workshops encouraged participants to experiment with new creative practices, develop their skills and connect with fellow artists.

Activities included yoga and poetic intentions, nature-inspired writing, gallery-inspired poetry, communal singing, mini-zine making, performance development and supportive poetry feedback sessions. A dedicated chill-out space provided opportunities for informal conversations and networking throughout the day.

The gathering culminated in an evening poetry showcase, featuring established performers, open mic contributions and new work developed during the workshops.

Participant feedback highlighted the positive impact of the event on creative confidence, wellbeing and sense of belonging, with attendees celebrating the welcoming atmosphere, variety of activities and opportunities to build friendships and creative connections.
