ONLINE WORKSHOP PROGRAMMES 2020-21

GOBS Collective delivered a series of online poetry programmes that enabled writers to continue developing their work during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Originally meeting through workshops at Nottingham Trent University, the collective moved its sessions online, where poets continued to write, collaborate and share work.

Participants experimented with digital performance formats, creating online showcase events and poetry films. Poets received a poetry-film masterclass from filmmaker Rebecca Goldsmith, exploring how spoken word could be translated into visual storytelling.

The programmes also featured guest artists including Debris Stevenson and Birmingham Poet Laureate Casey Bailey, whose performances and workshops supported poets as they developed and shared new work.
