16 rising poetry stars share the stage with Nottingham's skyline at sundown
Join us at Waterstones Nottingham for Constellation: a poetry showcase and pamphlet launch by local spoken-word collective GOBS. Witness some of the most exciting emerging voices discuss and perform samples from their collections, and connect with the myriad emotions that make them shine uniquely and collectively.
Whether staging events at Nottingham Poetry Festival or putting on workshops and book clubs at the Central Library, GOBS has been a bright light in the city’s spoken word scene. Constellation is the culmination of the collective’s latest project: a development programme in which 16 local talents attended a writing retreat led by Anthony Anaxagorou and Vanessa Kisuule, followed by masterclasses in editing and curating a poetry collection courtesy of acclaimed indie press Bad Betty.
